Blotter: Report: Man’s walk home interrupted, valuables taken

A man told police he fell unconscious while walking home early Saturday morning and awoke with multiple bruises on his body and a broken foot, according to a police report.

The man told police that he began his journey home in the 500 block of South Elm Street, but then woke up in the 700 block of Fort Worth Drive between two buildings.

The man told police that his backpack, cellphone and wedding band had been taken while he was unconscious.

The case was open and pending investigation.

600 block of Wolftrap Drive — Officers arrested a man early Saturday morning after he admitted to injuring his pregnant girlfriend by pushing her down to the ground during a drunken argument, according to a police report.

A caller told police that she heard a couple fighting and that the woman was covered in blood, according to the report.

Officers responded, and the injured woman accused her boyfriend of pushing her down.

Officers arrested the man and charged him with assault causing bodily injury. No fetal injuries were reported.

4500 block of Dogwood Street — A woman reported Saturday night that her husband said he would kill her and 11 other people in a friend’s home, according to a police report.

The wife said the altercation began when her husband came to her friend’s home and got into a loud argument with her over the keys to their shared vehicle. She said her husband threatened to cause her harm.

She told police her husband later called her and said he was going to get his gun and kill everyone in the house, according to the report.

The wife and her friends, including small children, locked themselves in a rear bedroom just in case the man attempted to follow through with his threat.

Officers found the man and arrested him, charging him with making a terroristic threat.
