An officer on patrol at a motel located on Interstate 35E found drugs and a stolen vehicle, according to a police report.

Police said the officer was walking through the parking lot of the motel in the 4100 block of Mesa Drive early Wednesday morning when he became suspicious of a man he saw get in and out of a car and then go into a room.

According to the report, the officer knocked on the door of the room, and after a short wait, the man allowed the officer to come inside.
