Blotter: State inspection stickers reported stolen

An envelope containing 50 Texas inspection stickers allegedly was taken from a business in the 200 block of West Parkway Street on Friday, according to a Denton police report.

A man reported that the envelope was signed for on Monday, placed inside the business office and later discovered missing. Denton police wrote up and submitted a theft report.

No further details were available on the incident.

2300 block of San Jacinto Boulevard — Police arrested a woman for allegedly attempting to shoplift from a store Saturday evening.

According to a police report, the woman was detained by a loss prevention officer after she allegedly attempted to take items from the store.

The woman was arrested on charges of theft less than $1,500 and criminal mischief.

1600 block of South Loop 288 — Officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with injuries early Saturday morning in which a man crashed his motorcycle.

According to the report, an accident investigation revealed that the man’s license was suspended, and he was arrested.

500 block of East Hobson Lane — A girl reported that she was punched in the face while walking in a park with a friend Friday.

Denton police, who took the report at a local hospital, documented that the girl said an intoxicated woman punched her, causing her to fall to the concrete.

The woman then left, the girl told police. According to the report, police photographed the girl’s injuries and submitted them for evidence.

1800 block of Lattimore Street — A woman reported to Denton police that she was having ongoing issues with an individual for allegedly putting sugar and soap in her gas tank. Damage totaled $420, according to the police report.
