Lewisville police are investigating an attempted kidnapping Wednesday in which a 14-year-old girl was approached by two men in a car as she was walking home from school.

The girl was approached about 4:35 p.m. in the 300 block of West Corporate Drive at Deer Run.

Police said as the older-model car passed by the teen, the car’s passenger asked her how old she was. The girl told the man she was “too young for him,” according to reports.

The teen said the car drove away, but circled back around. The passenger then got out of the vehicle and grabbed the teen’s backpack and pulled her closer to him, according to police.

The driver of the vehicle told the passenger to get back into the car, and when he did, the two men drove off, according to a news release.

The passenger is reported to be a black male about 50 years old, about 5-9 with a thin build. The driver is reported to be a 30-year-old black male. Both men had dreadlocks and beards, but no mustaches.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Lewisville Police Department’s tip line at 972-219-TIPS or Denton County Crime Stoppers at 800-388-TIPS.
