Denton police officers are investigating an alleged assault that was reported in the 800 block of West Sycamore Street Sunday night.
A man called police and reported that he had just been assaulted and was bleeding. When officers arrived, they found that the man had a swollen left eye and busted lip. The victim was transported to the hospital to have his injuries evaluated.
The officers made contact with a witness who was able to provide information on a suspect.
5900 block of Brookside Drive — Officers responding to a domestic disturbance call found a man who alleged that his wife had hit him and bloodied his nose.
The woman was not at the scene when officers arrived. They completed an offense report and took pictures of the victim’s injuries.
2400 block of Stockbridge Road — A caller contacted officers to report an assault at her apartment.
The woman alleged that her ex-girlfriend had assaulted her by placing her in a choke hold. The suspect was no longer at the scene, but the victim wanted to file a report.

Argyle firefighters assisted three citizens and responded to nine medial calls, two carbon monoxide hazmat calls and one traffic transport incident. Argyle police responded to eight building checks, two harassment reports and a report of a suspicious vehicle.
Aubrey firefighters responded to 11 medical calls, an alarm fire, a grass fire, a structure fire, a reckless driver, a road blockage hazard, three traffic transport incidents and a vehicle unlock. Aubrey police assisted three agencies and responded to a noise complaint and a report of a person with a gun.
Bartonville police assisted an agency and responded to 13 traffic calls and a vehicle complaint.
Corinth police assisted four agencies and responded to 58 traffic calls and nine reports of suspicious vehicles.
Double Oak firefighters responded to four medical calls. Double Oak police responded to two noise complaints and two reports of gunshots heard.
Hickory Creek police assisted four agencies and responded to a report of loose livestock and a report of an open door.
Justin firefighters responded to 11 medical calls, an electrical fire, a grass fire and an illegal burn. Justin police assisted two agencies and responded to an animal complaint and a report of a reckless driver.
Krum firefighters responded to five medical calls, two grass fires, a vehicle fire, two traffic transport incidents and four vehicle unlocks. Krum police responded to a juvenile complaint.
Lake Cities firefighters assisted a citizen and responded to 10 medical calls, a carbon monoxide alarm, a fire alarm, three illegal burns and two traffic transport incidents.

Pilot Point firefighters assisted a citizen and responded to nine medical calls, a fire alarm, an illegal burn, a fire/smoke investigation, a structure fire and three vehicle unlocks. Pilot Point police responded to six traffic calls and a report of criminal trespass.
Ponder firefighters responded to two grass fires, a traffic transport incident, a medical call and a vehicle unlock. Ponder police assisted five agencies and responded to a report of a reckless driver, four reports of suspicious vehicles and 18 traffic calls.
Sanger firefighters responded to seven medical calls, a fire alarm, a grass fire, a structure fire and three traffic transport incidents. Sanger police assisted two agencies and responded to a noise complaint and a report of a theft in progress.
