Woman reports assault
A post-dinner argument between a couple led to an assault report Tuesday from a Denton woman.
A little after noon a woman walked into the police department and reported that she had been assaulted by her boyfriend in the 2800 block of South Interstate 35E.
The woman reported that her boyfriend was driving them home from a restaurant when they got into an argument. She said the man became angry and began hitting her while she was in the passenger seat. She said the assault continued for about 15 minutes.
Officers said the woman had a black eye and other injuries to her face, and an offense report was completed.
1000 block of Dallas Drive — A man and woman contacted Denton police to report that they were being harassed.
The couple had placed an ad online asking for a roommate to live with them at their apartment. They soon received a reply from a potential roommate. The man did not identify himself and soon began sending explicit photos and messages to the woman via e-mail and text message. The woman has told the man to stop, but the messages have continued, according to police.
