U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services at TWU to discuss health insurance plans with youth
Kathleen Sebelius, the US Secretary of Health and Human Services, was at Texas Woman's University Friday to discuss efforts to encourage young adults to enroll in health insurance plans.
Sebelius was joined by local NAACP college chapter presidents as part of the "Get HYPE (Healthy Young People Everywhere) tour.
"TWU and our student leaders are pleased to welcome US Health Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius to campus and look forward to talking with her," said Monica Mendez-Grant, associate vice president for student life at TWU, in an email.
During the event, Sebelius talked about ways young adults can enroll for coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplace and the latest enrollment numbers in the state.
