Blotter: Noise complaint leads to arrest at party

A noise complaint led to at least one arrest Saturday after Denton officers responded to a report of a loud party in the 3200 block of Windbrook Circle.

After officers arrived on scene and made contact with the host of the party, they saw one woman physically assault another woman, according to a police report.

The officer then attempted to arrest the woman for assault and she resisted, prompting an arrest for resisting arrest, search, or transport, the report stated.

Other reports

2500 block of Interstate 35E — Denton officers responded to a vehicle theft report after a man told police that he went outside at about 9 p.m. to find his vehicle was missing.

The man searched the parking lot for his vehicle to no avail before calling the police, according to a police report.

1400 block of Centre Place Drive — Officers were dispatched to a hotel in reference to a theft, according to a police report.

The caller reported that his electronic tablet was stolen out of his hotel room sometime on Saturday or Sunday, the report stated.

300 block of North Locust Street — A Denton police officer was dispatched in response to a theft report at a tire store, according to a police report.

The caller stated that a customer, who was a regular visitor to the store, had left the location without paying for two tires, the report stated.
