City, county, state and federal government offices will be closed Monday in observance of Memorial Day. Public schools in Denton County and most Denton-area private and charter schools will also be closed.

In Denton, all libraries and recreation facilities, except the pools, will be closed Monday and will resume regular hours Tuesday.
Water Works Park will be open Monday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., the Civic Center Pool from noon to 6 p.m. and the Denton Natatorium from 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The city will not collect trash, recycling or yard waste Monday. Instead, Denton crews will collect Monday’s route on Tuesday, Tuesday’s route on Wednesday, Wednesday’s route on Thursday and Thursday’s route on Friday. The landfill will be open from 7 a.m. to noon.

While Denton Enterprise Airport administration offices will be closed, the air traffic control tower and flight services will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. and the airfield will remain open 24 hours a day.
