Blotter: Couple’s dispute leads to stabbing

A couple’s dispute soon brought out a knife and the police Tuesday evening.

Denton officers were called to a residence in the 100 block of Windbrook Street in reference to a stabbing that had just occurred.

It was reported to dispatch that a man was standing outside yelling that a girl driving a gold Saturn stabbed him.

Reports show that upon arrival at the location, the caller told the officer that the people involved in the incident were possibly in another residence.

The officer found the victim behind the second house. The victim had a stab wound on the left side of his back and small scratches on his left arm.

The injured man said his girlfriend arrived to the location upset that he did not go to work and stabbed him for no reason.

The girlfriend left prior to the officer’s arrival, according to the report.

A friend of the victim at the scene gave the same story as the victim. After searching the area and suspect’s residence, officers were unable to locate her. The knife used in the stabbing was located in the yard across the street from the incident, the report said.
