18-year-old who died after rollover accident identified

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the man who died Thursday in a rollover crash in far north Denton as Isael Lopez-Camilo, an 18-year-old Denton resident.

He reportedly drove off the roadway on North Locust Street near Milam Road. His car went through a ditch, up a hill and rolled about 60 to 80 yards into a field. Police found the man on the ground outside the vehicle.

He died from blunt force trauma, according to the medical examiner’s office. Denton police still are investigating the cause of the crash,

Police initially reported the victim was 19 years old.

A caller reported the wreck at 2:46 p.m. Thursday and told police the vehicle was off the roadway. The car hit a wire fence as well as a few trees before flipping and rolling into the field, said police spokesman Shane Kizer, adding that it appeared the driver was “going at a very high rate of speed.”
