Hearts for Homes, a Denton County nonprofit that aids low-income senior citizens in home rehabilitation, is hosting its 11th annual Heartbeat Dinner at 6 p.m. Sunday at the Hilton Garden Inn in Lewisville.
Don Armstrong, cancer survivor and author, will speak at the event, and a dinner buffet will be provided, according to a press release.
The event’s theme is Christmas in June. It will feature a Christmas-themed silent auction of wreaths and holiday decor created by organization volunteers, the release said.
“Since [Hearts for Homes'] inception in 2006, 134 seniors have received the home repair help they needed with volunteers completing 1,688 home repair projects totaling over 61,133 hours of service with an economic value of approximately $1,404,847 to Denton County,” according to the release.
General admission for the event is free. A half-table sponsorship that seats four people is $250 and a full-table sponsorship that seats eight people is $500.
