Denton police responded to a report of a woman running around and screaming at people Wednesday near the Studio 6 motel in the 700 block of Fort Worth Drive.
The woman also destroyed the room she was staying in and assaulted her roommate, according to a police report.
Police investigated the incident, but no arrests were made at the time of the report.
1900 block of Briarwyck Court — A 20 year-old woman said her ex-boyfriend has been harassing her through text messages, phone calls and social media, according to a police report.
The woman, who reported the incident at 2:20 p.m. Wednesday, described the messages to police as "non-stop." She said she's concerned about her physical safety because of the man's criminal history and anger management issues, the report said.
500 block of South Interstate 35E — Police said a 32-year-old woman and her ex-boyfriend got into a physical fight while she was moving items out of his apartment.
Police were dispatched to the Coventry Apartments about 9:45 p.m. but did not make any arrests. The report did not include further information.
2600 block of West University Drive — A 31-year-old woman was found with illegal drugs Wednesday after she was taken to Denton City Jail on a theft charge, according to a police report.
The woman initially was taken into custody by a loss prevention officer for attempting to take more than $100 of merchandise from Kohl's department store, according to a police report. After police found the drugs, she was charged with theft of property between $100 and $750, possession of a controlled substance and an outstanding Denton police warrant for running a stop sign.
1000 block of Oakland Street — A 23-year-old woman was charged with assault after police responded to a disturbance Wednesday near the Texas Woman's University campus.
Denton police responded to the incident as TWU officers were already on the scene, where police said a man and woman had been arguing. After an investigation, police arrested the woman on an assault charge and booked her into Denton City Jail.

The Denton County Sheriff's Office handled 971 service and officer-initiated calls for the agencies it serves, and 26 people were booked into Denton County Jail.
Denton police handled 149 calls for service and made 10 arrests.
Denton firefighters responded to 26 medical calls, one vehicle crash and one grass fire.
