Woman who jumped off overpass in Sanger identified

Sanger resident Cheryl Garcia has been identified as the woman who jumped off the overpass on Wednesday at Keaton Road and Interstate 35  in Sanger, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office.

Garcia, 52, jumped off the overpass and appeared to hit a vehicle on the interstate, according to Lt. Orlando Hinojosa, a spokesman for the Denton County Sheriff's Office. She was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Authorities said Sanger paramedics were on the way to another call when they saw the woman jump. They called police about 7:50 p.m.
