Lone Star Taps & Caps closes

Lone Star Taps & Caps closed its Denton location July 30.

The company announced the closure on its Facebook page July 29, saying the decision was rooted with future growth in mind, and that the location at 505 W. Hickory St. was steadily declining in profitability.

"As we constantly push the boundaries of a growing craft industry, a decision like this doesn't come easy," the company said in the post.

Serendipity moves out of Square site

Serendipity on the Square announced its site on Denton's downtown Square will move into its sister location.

On Aug. 7, The Serendipity House, three blocks from the Square at 820 N. Elm St., will house the entire business, according to a Facebook post on Serendipity's page.

The Serendipity House will continue popular services that include paint workshops by appointment.
