Texas legislators invited to attend Denton chamber luncheon

Updated at 12:45 p.m. Thursday to reflect that the six state legislators who represent portions of Denton County have been invited to the event, and that two have confirmed there attendance.

Six Texas state legislators who represent portions of Denton County have been invited to attend a luncheon and briefing hosted by the Denton County Chamber of Commerce from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15 at the University of North Texas Gateway Center, 801 North Texas Boulevard. 

The event's invitees include state Sen. Jane Nelson, R-Flower Mound; state Sen. Craig Estes, R-Wichita Falls; state Rep. Lynn Stucky, R-Denton; state Rep. Pat Fallon, R-Frisco; state Rep. Tan Parker, R-Flower Mound; and state Rep. Ron Simmons, R-Carrollton, according to Denton Chamber of Commerce spokeswoman Shaina Thomas. So far, only Estes and Stucky have confirmed they will attend.
