A 56-year-old man was reportedly yelling that he had been stabbed just after midnight Saturday in an apartment parking lot in the 700 block of Hercules Lane, according to a police report.
Denton officers found the man with a cut on the back of his head, the report said, and placed a 33-year-old woman under arrest. She was charged with aggravated assault on a family or household member with a weapon.
The pair's relationship was not immediately clear.
1400 block of South Loop 288 — A victim reportedly told police that her boyfriend's daughter had assaulted her because she was mad she didn't get the type of cellphone she wanted, according to a police report.
The report said the 46-year-old victim was hit by the 30-year-old suspect several times, including in the face with an open palm, at 12:24 p.m. Saturday. The suspect was arrested on a charge of aggravated assault causing bodily injury to a family member.
300 block of Fort Worth Drive — A 25-year-old woman's vehicle was reported stolen after she dropped it off to her mechanic for an alignment, according to a report.
"The caller advised that she dropped her vehicle off to her mechanic and he was supposed to take the vehicle to get aligned," the report said. "The mechanic let an employee drop the vehicle off and the vehicle has not been returned."
The vehicle was reported stolen and has been missing since Aug. 9. The victim said the mechanic tried to call the employee, but the employee was not answering the phone.
Between 7 a.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. Sunday, Denton police filed 14 reports online, including six thefts, five assaults, two vehicle burglaries and one criminal trespassing report. One of the theft reports includes a man and a woman who reportedly stole more than $250 worth of merchandise from PetSmart in the 1400 block of South Loop 288.
