Denton police arrested a teenager on drug charges Sunday after he was involved in a vehicle crash in the 1500 block of Dallas Drive.
A small amount of drugs was found in one of the vehicles when officers responded to the wreck at about 9 p.m., a police report said. The report did not specify the type of drug.
Police took the 17-year-old boy to Denton City Jail on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. It's unclear whether anyone was injured during the wreck.
4600 block of Argyle Lane — Denton police discovered that a man who accidentally set off his home burglar alarm Sunday morning had suffered facial injuries from an earlier fight with his girlfriend.
The 45-year-old man told police he did not want to press charges against his girlfriend because he "did not want her to get in trouble," according to a police report.
Police initially responded to the burglar alarm at about 11:10 a.m. Sunday at a south Denton home. The officers noticed minor injuries to the man's face but did not make any arrests.
1700 block of Village East Drive — A 56-year-old woman's daughter had yet to return her mother's car by Sunday night after borrowing it Saturday, according to a police report.
The woman reported the missing vehicle to police, saying that she was concerned for her daughter's safety. The vehicle was identified as a gray 2003 Ford Explorer.
The woman said she let her daughter take the car at about 4 p.m. Saturday for an hour. She filed the report at about 8:35 p.m. Sunday.

The Denton County Sheriff's Office handled 2,459 service and officer-initiated calls for the agencies it serves, and 92 people were booked into Denton County Jail.
Denton police handled 443 calls for service and made 33 arrests.
Denton firefighters responded to 70 medical calls, three vehicle crashes and two cooking fires.
