Willie Hudspeth files to run for Denton County judge

Longtime local civil rights activist Willie Hudspeth, 72, has filed to run for Denton County judge in the Democratic primary. He announced in August that he intended to seek the office.

Current County Judge Mary Horn, a Republican, announced that she would not seek re-election next year. She endorsed Denton County Commissioner Andy Eads, who has filed to run for the post as a Republican. No other Republican has filed for the office.
