Five days after a fire on the Denton Square destroyed the Downtown Mini Mall, its neighbor, Hooligans, will reopen for New Year's Eve festivities tonight, according to an employee at the downtown restaurant and bar.

Restoration has been completed at Hooligans, which will reopen at 6 p.m. Sunday and close at 2 a.m., the employee said. The restaurant and bar will be open for full service, along with a champagne toast at midnight.

Early Tuesday morning, a four-alarm fire blazed through the Downtown Mini Mall on the east side of the Square at 108 N. Locust St. There were no injuries from the fire, but businesses on that side of the Square suffered damage from smoke and water.
