The Texas Department of Transportation announced that it expects to open another section of the new extension of FM2499 in Corinth on Monday.
Crews have been building a six-mile extension from FM2181 to Robinson Road since April 2015. Motorists can expect traffic to be controlled at FM2499 and Robinson Road by a three-way stop.
Another section, from Robinson Road to State School Road, is expected to open in early 2018 after a traffic signal is installed.
When the entire $35 million project is completed, FM2499 will complete a direct link from Denton to the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport.
