Alexis Mia Sandoval Sandoval
Alexis Mia Sandoval was born October 4, 2003 in Denton, TX to Aaron Sandoval and Kristina Sandoval. She went home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ after a short battle with Encephalitis the morning of June 2, 2011. Mia was a beautiful girl with big brown eyes that would melt your heart. She was a funny, sweet, loving, caring, giving, and playful first grade student who attended Lee Elementary in Mrs. McCall's Class. She enjoyed dressing up, wearing her sparkly clothes and costume jewelry. She was always ready for the camera. Her most recent memorable road trip was to Disneyland in California for spring break 2011. Throughout her short stay with us here on earth, she touched and changed many lives, some she knew and some she did not have the opportunity to meet.
The family will be at DeBerry Funeral Directors on Sunday, June 5, from 4 to 6 pm for visitation and a Rosary will be said at 5 pm. Funeral service will be held on Monday, June 6, 2011 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at 11 am with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
Left to cherish her memory are her parents, Aaron Sandoval and Kristina Sandoval; stepsister, Cherish Sandoval; stepbrother, Ayden Sandoval; grandparents, Rodolfo Sandoval, Silvia Manzo, Salvador Noriega, and Juanita Salar. She will also be greatly missed by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and classmates.
She was our M-iracle I-n A-ction and our lives will never be the same without her. Although she has left a void in our heart that will never be filled, we will live with hope and faith that one day we will see her smiling face in heaven. The memories of her will forever be etched in our hearts.
A special thank you to all of the physicians and staff at Cook Children's Hospital in Fort Worth, TX as well as all the people who recently helped with Mia's fundraiser at Lee Elementary. We would also like to thank everyone for their prayers and support during this difficult time.
