Perk Roger Carmack
Perk Roger Carmack, 61, of Justin, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2012. He was born on March 16, 1950 in Pittsburg, TX to Carl Carmack and Myrtie Goolsby Carmack. He served in the United States Marine Corp and was a member of the Denton County Cowboy Church. Perk was a true American and always stood at attention for the American flag. He was always a Marine "Semper Fi!" He married Carol Long in Grapevine, TX in June of 1991.
Perk was very devoted to his family and loved the time he got to spend with them. There will never be a more devoted husband and father. He loved hunting and spending time at the "deer" land. He was devoted to his little dog, Sebastion, who waited patiently for Daddy to come home each night. Perk was respected and dedicated to his company, Perks Plumbing, which his sons shared with him.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 30, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Denton County Cowboy Church with Rev. Brandon Henderson officiating. Memorials can be made to the USMC Toys for Tots, a charity that was very near and dear to his heart.
Perk is survived by his wife, Carol; children, Cody Carmack, Kasey Carmack, Craig Carmack, and Monica Carmack Born,; sister, Linda Carmack Dunn; and grandchildren, Cody Boren, Chevy Boren, Paige Carmack, Kaylee Boren, Zoe Carmack, Livee Carmack, and Miles Carmack. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ronnie Carmack.

Billy Gene Johnson
Billy Gene Johnson, 68 of Aubrey passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at Denton Presbyterian Hospital. He was born March 20, 1943 in Joplin, MO. to Harry and Anna Johnson. He married Lolita Montiadora on October 29, 1979 in Aubrey, Texas. Billy was self employed as an appliance repairman.
A memorial service will be held, Monday, January 30, 2012 at Midway Baptist Church in Aubrey, Texas with Reverend John Theisen officiating. Burial will follow at Belew Cemetery in Aubrey.
Billy is survived by his wife, Lolita of Aubrey, Texas; four daughters, Precious Johnson of Aubrey; Marci Campbell of Okeene, OK; Sha-Marie Huff of El Reno, OK; and Sabrina Klute of Sulpher, OK; fourteen grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, William Gene Johnson in 2003; and one daughter, Sondra Johnson.
Services are under the direction of Terri Slay and staff at Slay Memorial Funeral Center in Aubrey.
Laurel Ruth White-Kitchen
Laurel Ruth White-Kitchen passed on January 25, 2012 in Clovis, NM. Ruth was born to Elmer and Kay White on August 2, 1959 in Clovis, NM. She started school in Grady, NM, attended school in Portales, NM and graduated from Hereford High School in 1977.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Kitchen, of the home in Grady, NM; parents, Elmer and Kay White of Grady, NM; brother, Ryan White of Grady, NM; and sister, Sharon Brockmann, of Guymon, OK. She was the very proud mother of Alex Lunsford of Denton, TX; Aaron Lunsford of Denton, TX; Andrew Lunsford of Sherman, TX; Adam ad Adrian Lunsford of the home in Grady, NM; Angela Gamel of Krum, TX; Christie Gamel of Santo, TX; Captain Justin Gamel and wife Desiree of Bossier City, LA; Maureen Gamel of Fort Worth, TX and Sarah Kitchen of Las Cruces, NM. She was the grandmother of Daniel Gamel.
Ruth was preceded in death by husband, Dan Gamel in 2008. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at the Grady School gym.
