Elizabeth Ruth (Bette) Shaw

Elizabeth Ruth (Bette) Shaw, of Denton, was born on November 22, 1923 in Cozad, Nebraska to Estal Bain and Minnie B. Farmer and passed away on Friday, February 10, 2012 at the age of 88. Bette lived life with integrity and an impressive mixture of generosity, compassion, and feisty toughness. She believed in fun and laughter and insisted that we celebrate her life rather than mourn her passing. We will cherish her memory forever and give thanks to her and for her.

Bette is survived by her daughter, Cindy Yarbrough; granddaughter, Alicyn Yarbrough; son-in-law, Bill Yarbrough; brother, Jim Bain; loving companion, John Moellinger; sister-in-law, Carol Felker; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, the Wences family; and many caring friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clifton; her parents; son, Gary Clifton Shaw; sister, Virginia Murray; sisters-in-law, Kay Bain and Bea Watts; and parents-in-law, Coy and Bessie Shaw.
