Kent Clay “The Colonel” Price passed from this world on February 20, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Cole, Oklahoma on August 16, 1939. Kent was the oldest son of Mary Faye and Robert Price.
Kent retired from Peterbilt Motors in 2002. He loved spending time with his family, fishing, traveling and seeing new places. He learned to play the guitar at a very early age and played in bands and entertained friends and family throughout his life. Kent loved life and never met a stranger. He was a loyal friend and was always there to lend a helping hand.
He married his one true love, Clara Marie Day on April 12, 1960 in Norman, Oklahoma. He is survived by his wife of 52 years; Clara of the home, his two daughters; Mona Price of Denton, Kim Ames & husband David of Sanger, and son, Scott Price & wife Theresa of Olive Branch, Mississippi; 4 grandchildren, Stephanie, Adam & Austin Price and Josh Ames. Brother, RL Price and wife Katie of Norman, OK and sister, JoAnn Harris & husband Bill of Moore, OK and a multitude of friends and relatives.
The family invites Kent’s friends to join them for a celebration of his life on Wednesday, February 22 at 10:00 am at Denton Funeral Home & Cremation Services. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Solaris Hospice, 2250 S FM 51 Ste 400, Decatur, TX76234.
