Paula Ann Schell passed away May 28th, 2012. Her memorial will be held at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX on Monday, June 11th at 10 am.
She grew up in Pennsylvania, lived in K.C., Mo. in the 60s, and moved to Denton in 1978.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Daniel Schell, who died April 16, 2011. They were married 64 years.
She is survived by one brother, Don Kirk; her 6 children, Kathryn, Daniel, Timothy, Mary, Jonathan, and Paula and 24 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She graduated with honors first from Indiana State University, in PA and then later from TWU with a Bachelor in Arts. She was kind-hearted, caring, and the kind of person who never met a stranger. She voluntarily taught exchange students to speak, read, and write English. She fostered young women who needed help. She could not turn away animals either. She would take in strays (even birds) and nurse them back to health. She was always loving and never had a cross word to say about anyone. She made everyone feel comfortable, especially in awkward situations. She was always wise beyond her years and was always there whenever anyone needed her. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and everyone who knew her. She will never be forgotten.
