Beth joined the Church Triumphant on June 25th at her home in Robson Ranch, Denton, surrounded by her family.
Born in Houston to Anna May Boyd and Carson Cleo Moore on August 4th, 1936; attended Montrose Elementary,Lanier Junior High, andLamar High schools in Houston; and Southern Methodist University;a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority.
Beth led a life of dedication to her family, Christian faith, and friends.
She was a lifelong Presbyterian and worked as a volunteer in her church, and boards and agencies,including:ordained ruling elder, trustee of Montreat Conference Center, director of women’s conferences at Mo-Ranch and Montreat, and mentor to women ministers in Grace Presbytery.She was a member of and married in First Presbyterian Church in Houston,worked with youth in Whittier, CA Presbyterian Church and hasbeen a member of Woodhaven Presbyterian Church in Irving since 1961.
For the last weeks of her illness she was surrounded by and faithfully supported by family and friends, as well as messages from friends near and far, from which she found much joy.
Beth was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Paula, and brother Dick.She is survived by her sister, Mary Ann Allen; husband of 55 years, Sid; daughter Charlotte and her husband, Don;son Chris and his wife, Karen; son Curtis and his wife Joan; and grandchildren, Rachel, Curtis, Sydney, and Carson; and many dear extended family members.
A service of celebration of her life and Witness to the Resurrection will be held at Woodhaven Presbyterian Church, 3650 North O’Connor Rd, Irving TX 75062 on Saturday, June 30th, followed by a burial service in Houston, at a time to be announced.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in Beth’s memory to Woodhaven Presbyterian Church (address above) or Presbyterian Mo-Ranch Assembly, 2229 FM 1340, Hunt TX 78024-3037
