Carl Woodruff, 78, of Valley View passed away Friday, June 29, 2012 at PresbyterianHospital in Denton. He was born October 12, 1933 in Hildon, OK to Hollis and Lucy Boner Woodruff. He married Josephine Peel on June 1, 1957 in Fort Worth. He retired from Weber Aircraft in Gainesvilleand served in the U.S. Army.
Carl loved his farm in Slidell and loved to travel. When he retired in 1992, he and his wife, Jo traveled 27 states a year in their motorhome.
Visitation will be Monday, July 2, 2012from 6 to 8 p.m. at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors with Dr. James Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at SangerCemetery. Pallbearers will be Jack Woodruff, Wade McClusky, Brent Milligan, Neal Hale Harrison Crew and Jack Cutsworth
He is survived by his wife, Josephine Woodruff of Valley View; daughters, Carla Creamier and husband Allan of San Antonio and Misty Dawn Woodruff of Valley View; sons, Mike Woodruff and wife Sissie of Valley View, Mark Woodruff and wife Judy of Greenwood, and Gary Woodruff of Valley View; sister, Wanda Hill of Fort Worth; 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Helen Drath and brother, Jack Woodruff.
