Mark 16 15:18 (King James Version)
15 And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Damián Salmerón Sr. was born in Tlapehuala, Guerrero, México March 1, 1952 and departed with the Lord unexpectedly on July 21, 2012 in Mt. Pleasant, TX. He lived in East Texas (mostly Mt. Pleasant) for over thirty years.He is survived by his beloved wife Gilda Salmerón, their children, Leticia, Damián II, Víctor, Javier Salmerón, and Verónica Reynoso, his son-in-law, 2 daughters-in-law, and 6 grandchildren.
Damián Salmerón served the Lord with all his heart, his passion always reflected on his face and all his being.The joy of the Lord, the enthusiasm, the peace and the fullness of the Holy Spirit were reflected in his smile. Damián Salmerón’s passion and vision was to preach the full gospel to everyone he met.
A high milestone in the life of Damián Salmerón, is that he founded a new Church in the State of Arkansas (possibly the first A/G Spanish Church). Throughout his life, Damián Salmerón, continued his great preaching ministry by evangelizing in many different parts of The United States and México. Damián Salmerón was anxiously looking forward to retirement because he was moving to México where he could freely preach powerful messages filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. By God’s grace, Damián Salmerón, had a very special anointing to reach out to the lost and bring them in to the Lord.Damián Salmerón had a very firm belief that God continued to perform supernatural miracles in the lives of those who believed in the precious blood of the Lamb.His belief was that God did not send His one and only Son to die on the cross in vain but to receive eternal life and healing inside and out.
Last but not least, something special and worthy of honor is that Damián Salmerón and his wife guided their five children in the ways of the Lord.By God’s wisdom and grace, to date they continue to serve GOD along with their new families. Being an orphan himself he strived to give the best of the best to his five children.Damián Salmerón along with his wife instilled the fear of the Lord into his 5 children and encouraged them to obtain their bachelor’s degrees because both were a necessity in order to live on this earth productively. To date Damián Salmerón was fortunate to see 4 of his children graduate from high school, 3 graduates from college, and 2 graduates from UNT with high honors and achievements.Damián Salmerón also had the opportunity to see 2 of his grandchildren graduate from pre-k.Unfortunately, Damián Salmerón will not witness his daughter’s UNT graduation this coming fall; something he was anxiously waiting for.
The family is thankful for each and every one that touched our lives during the unexpected passing of Damián Salmerón.Your generous support has lifted us up and we are grateful for having a shoulder to lean on.We are very grateful for all you have done to make the pain bearable.
