Townsend Cassell, Jr., 53, of Denton, passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2012 at his home. He was born June 30, 1959 in Dallas, TX to Townsend Cassell, Sr. and Evelyn Crawford.
He was a graduate of L. G. Pinkston High School in Dallas, and attended the Primitive Baptist Church. He was employed by the University of North Texas as a Chef. He was married to Karri Piekarski on July 29, 2011 in Denton, TX.
e is survived by his mother Evelyn Crawford and children Arron, Starlyin, Zach, LaCreshia, LaMeka, LaTasha,LaSandra, LaTownsend, Melvin, and Bobby: sister, Theresa of Fairfield, brothers Rickey of the Colony, Joe of Tyler, and Terry Crawford of Teague.
He is preceded in death by his father Townsend Cassell, Sr.a daughter Crystal Garrett, and grandmother Mary Lee English.
A memorial service will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, August 4, 2012 in the Chapel of Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, with Brother Vernon Johnson officiating.
Mr. Cassell is survived by a large and extended family and family friends.
