Marie Howard, age 78, of Pilot Point passed away on August 7, 2012 at Denton Regional Medical Center. She was born August 7, 1934 in Mills, NM to Leo and Faye Strohmeyer Bauler. She married Robert C. Howard, September 17,1950 in Los Lunas, NM. She was a retired seamstress with Russell Newman for 17 1/2 years.
Visitation will be held on Thursday evening, August 9, 2012 at the Huff/Slay Chapel in Pilot Point from 6:00-8:00pm.A graveside service will be on Friday morning, August 10, 2012 at 10:00 am at the Pilot Point Community Cemetery with the Reverend Philip Riegel officiating.
Marie is survived by four sons, Robert Lee Howard of Pilot Point, Art W. Howard of Ponder, Grey A. Howard of Pilot Point, and Michael S. Howard of Plantation, FL; daughter, Barbara Hobbs of Pilot Point; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and brother, George T. Bauler of Decatur. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; granddaughter, Ashleigh; grandson, Neil; and brother, Bobby.
Services are under the direction of Terri Slay and Huff/Slay Funeral Home.
