Frances Moore, 79, of Carrollton, Texas, formerly of Lafayette, Indiana, died Aug. 8, 2012. She was born Nov. 19, 1932 in Shenandoah, VA. to Vernon and Laura Morris. She was married to Robert F. Moore, for 56 years, who passed away on January 20, 2010.
Frances worked at Arni’s Restaurant for 35 years and recently relocated to Carrollton, Texas. She loved to read, play Bingo, and played a mean game of checkers. Although she joined the Texas Ranger fans in cheering on their hometown team, she remained a devoted Cubs fan. In addition, as one of 12 siblings, she was especially close to her surviving sister, Venda Denton, whom she talked to several times daily.
Surviving are three daughters, Susan Hadley (husband, Jerry) of Lafayette, Janet Moore (life partner, Tammy) of Carrollton, Texas, and Anna Shaffer (husband, Kevin) of Valley View, TX; grandchildren, Greg and Daniel Newgent of Lafayette, Logan and Layne Moore of Carrollton, TX, Mason and Ethan Shaffer of Valley View, TX, and three great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Lafayette Almost Home Humane Society.
