Harold David Holloway

On August 11, 2012, Dr. Harold D. Holloway passed away surrounded by his family.He was born in Cleburne, Texas on February28, 1925 to Joseph Luke and Ava Grace Holloway. He was a great influence on the many lives he touched as a beloved husband, father, grandfather, professor, and teacher.

Dr. Holloway was a graduate of North Texas State University with B.A. and M.A. Degrees Psychology, and a Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Iowa. Upon returning to Texas, he joined the faculty at NTSU as a Professor of Psychology from 1961-1995, and was Chair of the Department from 1971-1974.Upon his retirement in 1995, he was awarded the title of Professor Emeritus.

He was married to Christine Elliott in 1946 until her death in 1989. He was also preceded in death by his brother, C.J. Holloway, and sister, Eddie Fount Holloway.

He is survived by his wife of twenty-one years, Nancy Holloway; daughter, Cynthia Holloway of Dallas; son, David Holloway of Midland; son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Melissa Holloway of Edmond, OK; and four grandchildren:Christopher, Michael, Samuel, and Allison Holloway.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 14, at 10:00am at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 705 N. LocustDenton.Dr. Holloway will be interred at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton, Texas.Rev. Paul Dunklau will officiate.
