Gary Deward “Bub” Carson, 67 of Argyle, formerly of Gustine, passed away August 14, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. August 18, 2012 at the Heartland Funeral Home, Comanche. Interment will follow at the Toliver Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday August 17th at the funeral home. Gary was born November 20, 1944, in Dallas, TX to Hattie and Dink Carson. He was a graduate of Gustine High School and a member if the 1st Baptist Church of Gustine. He was also a member of the Denton Elk Lodge. Gary, better known as “Bub”, was a free spirit and was the life of every party. He loved dancing, skating in his cowboy boots he fixed, horseshoes, hunting, fishing and living life to the fullest. One of his favorite sayings was “let’s get r done”. “Bub” enjoyed rebuilding old tractors or anything with a motor and wheels. He was very creative and could make something beautiful out of anything. He was well known for his homemade knives. “Bub” had a big heart and donated many knives and other projects he made to be auctioned off for fund raisers and reunions. “Bub” worked as a supervisor for Longhorn Boring Company in Farmers Branch for 33 years. He also enjoyed spending time at the farm.
Gary is survived by his wife Dixie of Argyle, numerous children, grandchildren, other family members, and a host of friends.
