John Harold “Hairley” Kirby, 80, of Sanger, passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at his home in Sanger.
He was born on April 16, 1932 in Sanger to Marvin Barton and Ruby Lee (Sons) Kirby.He attended Sanger schools and served his country in the United States Army.On July 2, 1955, he married Theda Mae Scoggin in Lake Dallas, Texas and together they raised their children in Sanger.Hairley worked for General Dynamics for 23 years and also worked for Bounds Paint Company until his retirement in 1987.
A visitation is scheduled for Friday, August 31, 2012, from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm at Coker Funeral Home, 403 Pecan Street, Sanger, Texas.Funeral services are set for 10:00 am, Saturday morning at the Church of Christ in Sanger, Texas.
Survivors include his wife, Theda of Sanger; two daughters, LeAnn Flowers and her husband, Gary and Julie Jackson and husband, Brad all of Sanger; two sons, Rex Kirby and wife, Myra of Slidell and Victor Kirby of Sanger; one sister, Betty Jo Moseley of Callisburg; two brothers, Jimmy Lee Kirby of Sanger and Boyd Glen Kirby of Flower Mound; eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
