Lillie Marie Payne, 86, of Denton, died Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Presbyterian Hospital in Denton.
Mrs. Payne was born on October 6, 1925 in Lewisville to Charlie and Rena (Bragg) McGraw. She was married to George D. Payne on January 21, 1950 in Rockwall, he died on February 8, 2004. She was a member of Cooper Creek Baptist Church. She delivered the Denton Record Chronicle for over thirty years.
Mrs. Payne is survived by her son, Wyatt Payne and his wife Judy of Valley View; sisters, Bessie Mae Ceal of Pottsboro, Mary Rogers of Lewisville; grandchildren Christi Payne Sons, Tonya Reed; great-grandchildren, Caitlyn Eggleston, Trevor Reed, Dakota Reed.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Swisher Cemetery, Lake Dallas. Dr. Richard Montgomery will officiate the service.
Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
