Frances M. Guthrie, age 89, of Denton, passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2012. She was born on December 14, 1922, in Pilot Point, Texas to Albert and Cecilia Boerner Fischer. She married Clarie Guthrie on August 5, 1946 in Pilot Point.
Rosary for Frances will be held on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at 7:00 pm at the Huff/Slay Chapel in Pilot Point. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at the St. Thomas Catholic Church in Pilot Point with the burial following. Father Flynn will officiate.
Survivors include, one son, Brian and Debbie Guthrie of Flower Mound; daughter, Cecilia Guthrie of Denton; grandchildren, Brian Joseph and wife Courtney Guthrie of Anna, Rachel Guthrie of Crestview, FL; great-grandchild, Nicklas Guthrie of Anna; brother, Jerry Fischer of Grand Prairie. Frances is preceded in death by, infant son, Carl Guthrie; brothers, Raymond, Benny, James, and Billie Fischer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarie.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials may be made to a Catholic Charity of their choice.
Services are under the direction of Terri Slay and Huff/Slay Funeral Home in Pilot Point.
