Daughter of John Travis Barrett & Oneda Stuckey Barrett, Linda Lu was born on July 24, 1944 in Muroc, CA. When the family moved to TX, she grew up in Denton, where she was involved in many activities, including, The Denton High Host, & the Hi-Lite Club at Denton High, and graduating in 1962. Later Linda moved to AZ, and settled in Phoenix. She worked for the City of Phoenix for several years, before retiring in Payson, AZ, where she passed away quietly in her sleep, on May 27th, 2012, with her close friends by her side.

Around Payson, Linda was known as the “Cat Lady”, because of her love for all animals, but especially for cats. Her life was actively dedicated to the rescue of abused and abandoned cats, often nurturing them to health, finding homes, or making them a part of her family. The love of her life was her cats, Dandy, Dijon, and Majik. Linda loved her family, friends, and pets passionately, and leaves behind many fond memories. Her bright smile, caring was, and thoughtfulness of others, will long be remembered by those who knew and loved her.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents and brother, James Barry Mack. Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Reyne Coley of Dallas; niece, Jamie Leigh Mack, and nephew, James Michael Mack, of Denton; Cousins, Margaret Dale Stone, Julia Ann Stuckey Garcia, Krum; 2nd Cousins, Lacy Stone Michna of Krum, Uriah Stone of Denton & Caleb Stone of Ft Worth. Also special friends, Joyce Soule, Michigan Center, MI, and Judy & Clint Whitfield, Bend, OR.
