FORT WORTH — Edwin (Eddie) Warg McConnell passed away September 17, 2012, in Dallas at the age of 75.
Graveside memorial service will be held at Oakwood Cemetery, Jacksboro, TX, at 11:30 AM, October 13, 2012.
The family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or to a charity of choice.
Eddie was born November 20, 1936, in Graham, TX. After graduating from Jacksboro High School he attended college at Texas Tech and UNT and served in the US Army.Eddie was a longtime member of Alcoholics Anonymous and will be remembered as a valued mentor and sponsor to many during his 43 years of service in AA.
Eddie is survived by his wife, Lynelle Cherryhomes Griffin McConnell; mother, Mary Anita Williams; daughter, Susan McConnell Reiter and husband, Jon Reiter; grandson, Agustin McConnell Reiter; and brother, Karl Williams.
