Donald Lee Hansen of Lake Dallas passed away at his home on September 30 after a short but courageous battle with Acute Myeloied Leukemia. Don was born on June 21, 1932 to Charles and Ida Hansen in Ohio. He came to Lake Dallas as a teenager. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War. After returning, he married Edna Jo Perry on September 5, 1955.She preceded him in death in 1998.He was also preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Eddie and Jim Hansen as well as his two sons, Charlie and Dale Hansen.

He is survived by his sister Grace Hielman from Brunswick, Ohio, his daughter and son-in-law Debbie and Ken Harrison of Lake Dallas as well as his companion Snooks Hansen of Lake Dallas, six grandchildren-Chris Hansen, Tiffany Offenberger, April Hansen, Charlie Hansen,Blake Harrison, and Kelsey Walser, and 4 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews and wonderful friends from Lake Dallas.

 Memorial Service will be held Tues, October 2 at Lake Dallas United Methodist Church at 11:00am with a meal for friends and family to follow at the Lake Dallas VFW post.In Lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be make in his name to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society and/or VFW Post 10460 in Lake Dallas for the restoration of the VFW hall where many charitable organizations hold events.
