Mary Joyce Smotherman of Alvarado, Texas went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 7,2012 at her home in Alvarado, Texas.
She was born Sept 10,1942 in Denton, Texas to Earnest Levi and Lillie Mae Copeland Hunter. She was a member of the United Church of God. Mrs. Smotherman had been a homemaker for the last several years.
Survivors include her husband Bobby; Smotherman of Alvarado, two brothers, Earnest Mack Hunter of Valley View, Bennie Alton Hunter of Killeen, TX and one sister, Glenda Stepheson of Sanger. Texas and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm Wednesday, October 10th at Skyvue Funmeral Home located at 7220 Rendon Bloodworth Road in Mansfield, Texas. A private graveside memorial will be conducted later in the week at Bolivar Cemetery in Bolivar, Texas.
