Ralph “Edward” left a vast void in our hearts when he went to join his family in heaven on October 7, 2012.  He was born on August 25, 1949 to Esther and Jesus Viscarra in Alamogordo, New Mexico. After graduating from Alamogordo High School he immediately joined the military, serving 4 years in the United States Army during the Vietnam conflict.

Following his military service he went on to become a dedicated and loving nurse. He worked for over 40 years in the medical profession where he took great pride in caring for his patients and they loved him.

All who knew him….know that his lifelong passion was music, music, music. All kinds! He collected, selected and shared all the greatest hits.  He brought joy to all family events and gatherings with his music and we experience a surge of memories every time we hear his special songs. His laughter was infectious.

Ralph is preceded in death by his parents Jesus and Esther Viscarra, sister Clara Rivera, brothers Richard Andrew I and Richard “Andy” II.

He leaves behind his lifelong partner of 34 years Carlos Olvera and his baby pup Sophia.  He is further survived by his best friend and sister Fran Viscarra, his sisters Becky (Dale) Hagins and Susan (Dan) Parmenter, his brothers Harry (Elisa), George (Paige), Steven (Janet), Joe (Linda) Viscarra, mother- in-law Maria Elena Gonzalez, brother in law Daniel Rivera, Sisters-in-law Terry (Adrian) Gomez and Claudia (Ronnie) Gonzalez.
