Alton Ray “Bo” Jones passed from this earth to his heavenly home on Monday,
October 15, 2012 in Wichita Falls, TX.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 18 at 10am at Falls Funeral Home Chapel, 1903 Austin, Wichita Falls, TX with Gil Peters officiating.Visitation will be held at 9am prior to the services.
Bo was born on September 8, 1937 in Graham, TX to the late Johnie J. Jones and Opal Wellman Jones.He graduated from Holliday High School and attended Midwestern State University before joining the U.S. Navy in 1956.Bo was a retired Electrician. He was a member of the R-T ‘s Coffee Club where he enjoyed gathering with his friends and a faithful Dallas Cowboys fan. One of his favorite things was watching his kids and grandkids participate in their many sporting events.
Bo is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Buchanan Jones; his children, Cheryl Cogdell and husband Marvin, Johnny Jones and wife Mona, Ricky Jones and wife Lisa, and Dina Jones; sisters Karen Turnbow and husband Larry, Opal Esquer and husband Fred; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; five nieces and nephews and his beloved companion Duke.
