Geneva (Belz) Lane, formerly of Denton, Texas, passed away Monday, October 29, 2012 at her home in Valley View, Texas. She was born April 13, 1933 in Gainesville, Texas to Alfred and Gertie (Brandt) Belz of Valley View; married to Vern Lane on June 1, 1962 in Denton.He died April 13, 1997.She graduated from Valley View High School in 1950, retired December 1, 1990 from Moore Business Forms and Systems working thirty nine years and eight months.She was president of her Denton Citizen Police Academy, class 95-A and president of CPA Alumni’s in 1998.She served on the Board of Directors for the S.O.S. 100 Club.She was a member of the Denton Tennis Association and Ann’s Haven Hospice volunteer.She played tennis at North Lake, Goldfield Tennis Center three to four days a week.She was a member of the Denton First Seventh Day Adventist Church in Denton and Gainesville serving in different positions of the church.

Geneva is survived by two nieces, Donna Trice and husband Neil, of Valley View, Jane Naugher and husband Greg of Denton; four nephews, Eddie Lane and Rodney Lane of Denton,Roy Lee Belz Jr and Mark Belz of Valley View; multiple great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews and sister-in-laws Jo Ann Belz and Pat Scott. She is preceded in death by her husband Vern Lane, nephew Dwane Lane and brothers Frank and Roy Belz.

A memorial and visitation will be held at 6:30 on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at the Sanger Church of Christ, 400 Locust Street, Sanger, Texas with Neil Trice Officiating.Visitation will immediately follow services.

Memorials may be made to the; Vern Lane Memorial Scholarship Fund, payable to Denton Public School Foundation, P.O. Box 2387 Denton, Texas 76202.
