Jessie Barthold was born July 28, 1917 in Prairie Dell, TX to Dillard Emmitt Moss and Fannie Francis (Wilcheck) Moss. She met and married Elmer Richard Barthold on November 28, 1935. They had two sons, Richard Emitt Barthold and Joe Frank Barthold (deceased). Jessie was a house wife and spent most of her life taking care of her son Richard after he was injured in an accident. Jessie has lived at The Carriage House Assisted Living in Denton, TX for the past 10 years. She was a member of the Castleberry Baptist Church since 1963. Her favorite scripture was St. John 14 th chapter.
She is preceded in death by her husband; Elmer Richard Barthold, son; Joe Frank Barthold, brothers; Selman Moss, Marvin Moss and Dorsey Moss, sisters; Beulah Standifer, Caterina Nestle and Leora Moss.
Survivors: Son; Richard Emitt Barthold, brothers; Horace Moss of Denton, TX and Emory Moss (Litha) of Decatur, TX, and several nieces and nephews.
