Jayne Evarts died November 10, 2012 in Pilot Point, TX.

Jayne was born in 1959 in El Paso, Texas, the daughter of William W. Evarts and Margaret Johnson Evarts. She grew up the youngest child in a family that crisscrossed the United States for work and recreation, and attended schools in New Jersey, California, and North Carolina before receiving her high school diploma from Lake Highlands High School in Dallas, TX. She attended Stephen F. Austin State University and the University of North Texas. She was retired from Boeing.

Jayne was first and always an animal lover and devoted countless hours to the care of her horses, cats, and dogs, becoming highly knowledgeable in their ailments and a trusted caretaker of the animals of her friends.She was an accomplished horsewoman and highly proficient in cross-country riding competitions.

Jayne is survived by her son Christopher Hosea, son Michael Hosea and his wife Sandra, grandchildren Lynette and Gabriel; her brother Richard Evarts and his wife Linda Evarts of Las Vegas, NV; and her brother John Evarts and his wife Nelda Evarts of Denton, TX and their sons John and George.She also leaves behind loving cousins and extended family and friends.

A memorial gathering will be announced later.
