Paul was born in Gallia County,Ohio to John and Gladys Thomas on July 2, 1935. He was 77. Paul passed away on November 22, 2012 at Presbyterian Hospital inDenton.

Paul was orphaned several years later when his parents were killed in a train crash. His adoptive parents were Sarah and Clarence Johnson of Grandview, Ohio.

Paul was a 1954 graduate ofGrandview High School inGrandview, Ohio. On September 3, 1955 he was married to Beverly Ward, his high school sweetheart. They were married for 57 years. They had three children, Thomas and his wife Barbara, Sarah Lynn Hicks and her husband Allen and Richard Paul Johnson.

Paul’s life work was in the plastics industry took him from Columbusto Ft. Wayne, IN, Kankakee, IL, Denton, TX, Houston, TX, Lake Worth, TX, and back home to Krum, TX. He retired from Lasko Metal in Ft. Worth in 1997.

He is preceded in death by his parents and son Richard. He is survived by his loving wife Beverly, daughter, Sarah Lynn, son Thomas, Brothers Jesse Thomas and his wife Wanda, Fred Thomas and his wife Retta, Sisters, Helen Thomas and Sue Vaughn all of S. Charleston, Ohio. Grandchildren are Rachel Johnson, Paul Johnson, Jason Hicks and Bryan Hicks and 5 great grandchildren.

Paul was a member of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church and a board member of the Krum Society of Historic Preservation.

Visitation will be held at the DeBerry Funeral Home from 4 to6 p.m. on Sunday, November 25, 2012. Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m., Monday, November 26, at the JacksonCemetery in Krum.
