Mary Jeanette Riddle Knight, 73, passed away on Monday, December 10, 2012 at Seasons Hospice in Denton, TX.

Jeanette was born on November 6, 1939 in Longview, Texas to Dewey Carl & Mary Mae Riddle. She grew up in Alice, TX where she graduated from William Adams High School in 1958. She was active in First Baptist Church. She worked for Alice National Bank before moving to Denton, Texas. She worked for Denton County National Bank before she married Lynn Durwood “Shug” Knight on October 30 1964 in Denton, TX; she moved to Garland, Texas and worked for Northpark National Bank in Dallas, TX; moved to Temple, TX and worked for Temple ISD; moved back to Denton, TX and worked with husband in family business; retired from Denton ISD after working in the business office for 15 years; retired in Nocona, TX; was a member of Nocona Hills Community Church.

Jeanette is survived by her husband L.D. “Shug” Knight of Nocona, TX; daughter Deborah Knight Trosper of Denton, TX; stepson, Barry Knight and his wife Carin of Addison, TX; five grandchildren, Claire Knight Springer, Libby Knight, Garrett Taylor, Peyton Trosper, Paris Trosper; sister, JoAnn Burgess of Hamshire, TX; she was preceded in death by her parents, D.C. & Mary Mae Riddle.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at the funeral home. A celebration of Jeanette’s life will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 13, 2012 in the chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, TX. Pastor Joseph Jernigan will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
