The Best Mother in the World, Edna Holley Woolf, 91, of Arlington, passed away peacefully on Sunday evening, January 13, 2013. She was born on January 3, 1922 in Lewisville to Hiram and Rosa Holley. She married Glen Woolf in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1945. He preceded her in death in 2004.
She served two terms as President, Protestant Women of the Chapel, US Forces European Theater in Germany while her husband, Glen, was on assignment there for the US Government. She has been a member of Sagamore Hill Baptist Church since 1952.
Edna was admired and loved by everyone who knew her. She took every opportunity to witness her faith to others and looked forward to her homecoming because she knew her Savior. Always pleasant and smiling, she will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 18, 2013 from 6:30 to 8:00 pm at DeBerry Funeral Directors, Denton, Texas. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 10:30 am in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors. Burial will be at Camp Ground Cemetery in Poetry, Texas.
Edna is survived by her sons, David and Larry; 3 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren, two brothers, John and Phil Holley, and a sister, Helen Brown. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Teresa, her husband, Glen, her parents, five brothers Delbert, Gerald, Mike, Roland, and Edward Holley, and one sister, Maurine Moore.
