Donna Knight, known as “Mema” to her grandchildren, was born in Dallas, Texas June 23, 1946 to Billie Ruth Austin and Alfred Dixon Argo. She passed away on January 10, 2013.She grew up in the Dallas-Fort Worth area attending school in Irving, Texas. Donna’s mother passed away when she was only 9 years old, which left her forever gifted with a deep appreciation and passion for family, fun, and all of life’s many pleasures. She married and began family life with husband Robert Reed Knight on October 5, 1970.
Donna was a licensed Texas Real Estate Salesperson from 1981-2004, receiving multiple recognition awards as a top producer during her career with several real estate firms including Red Carpet, ERA, and Century 21. A long-time member of the Greater Lewisville Association of Realtors, Texas Association of Realtors, and National Associations of Realtors, she enjoyed helping folks find their perfect home. Donna would often take the project to heart, helping her clients shop and decorate their new homes, which naturally lead to long-lasting treasured friendships. Donna truly loved her career in real estate.
She is survived by her three children, Step Son, Robert Reed Knight Jr. & daughter-in-law Jody Knight of Corinth, TX and two daughters, Judy Dixann Still & son-in-law Kevin Still of Callisburg, TX and Rebecca Ray & son-in-law Shawn Ray of Mountain Springs, TX; eight loving grandchildren, Skyler Austin Henderson, Joshua Parker Ray, Hunter Wayne Still, Sheena Nicole Molsbee, Rebecca Raye Still, Christopher Reed Knight, Jessica Elizabeth Ray, Joseph Robert Knight; her siblings, Rita Haley of Paradise, TX, Richard Argo, Linda Austin of Padre Island, TX; and long-Time Best Friend, BC Groves of Denton, TX;
The family would like to express gratitude for the loving support received from the angels at Seasons Hospice unit in Denton. In preparation of this day, Donna asked that we all remember and celebrate her joyful, carefree, calling in life; which was ensuring her friends and family enjoy happy lives full of toys, pets, love, and lots of fun adventures.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 18, 2013 at 2:30 pm at Coker Funeral Home, 403 Pecan Street in Sanger, Texas.
